Amazon's 7-inch tablet sells for $100
The Dallas telecommunications provider will begin selling the Kindle Fire HDX 7, Amazon's latest tablet. By itself, the Fire HDX 7 costs $100 with a two-year contract, or $10 a month over 20 months.
AT&T is also offering the Fire HDX 7 for $50 when purchased with the Fire Phone, which starts at 99 cents with a two-year contract. The promotion runs through November 20, and both devices will require two-year contracts.
Amazon may boast the largest online storefront in the world, it hasn't had the same success with the Fire Phone. After debuting in July with a contract price of $200, the Fire Phone was discounted to 99 cents two months later.
